TrackMark with digital out

Hi,

I'm using an MD recorder to store music. Usualy you need a 4s gap between songs so the recoder can make a trackmark. MD recorders have the ability to put this trackmark without the 4s gap if you use an optical (and maybe coaxial) link. So it would be great if Winamp could have suche a feature.

Please tell me it is possible

Thanks !

You don't get it, I don't want that 4sec gap !!!!

When I make a recording using the optical out of my CD deck, even if there is no gap between songs, a trackmarck is inserted. That's what I'd like Winamp to do.

This would be a great feature when recording on MD live or mixed tracks.

A 4sec blank between songs is not an acceptable solution in such cases.

Basically each time winamp changes song, a "NEW TRACK SIGNAL" should be sent through the digital output.

But, I don't know wether it is easy or not to implement this in a software...

Thanks !

I completely agree. That would be a great feature. I currently own a MD player and this addon would enhance my experience of Winamp.
'yours, ...

Yes, it sure would be nice to have Winamp with auto-trackmarking features without pauses. As DJ Doxy said, the blanks are really nasty when recording live or mixed albums. This feature would save me a lot of money as the only way I know of to get these trackmarks is currently buying new hardware; so I'm not quite sure if these marks are easy to replicate, but maybe you could give it a shot...

Thanks!

ever heard of google?

Okay.. if this was something that was extremely easy to do, and there was a huge user base calling out for it, yeah sure.. that might be cool. But it's not, and there's not. Not trying to dash your hopes, I once wished for the same thing when I had an MD player... but it's not Nullsoft's place to provide something like this; that's what plugins are for.

Keep in mind I know nothing at all about current MD players 'n stuff, but within a minute of googling, I found this. Might be of some help. Might not.
