Somethin weird with legacy working sc_trans2 METADATA
Hello!
As usual we have a strange problem this time with new Transcoder. Namely, the case breaks out about the DJ Suuport and Metadata Our transcoder are working at legacy mode. to connect to the DNAS server in an earlier version v1.x We must use the server software in the first version because of the not quite stable work of the latest version DNAS2. The problem with this. Transcoder connected to the server correctly sends the names of songs [METADATA] only when playing mp3 from disk server. When to the transcoder will connect any of our presenters problem appears. Look at Transcoder logs to see how it appears in log Quote:
But the truth is that the song "Drowning Pool - Tear Away" is displayed in the Current Song correctly. And in the case of "Bad Religion - Flat Earth Society" in Current Song obtain only one word: "Bad". As you noticed the only difference between the logs look for "Drowning Pool" and "Bad Religion" and is the second song that is played by DJ. This applies to every song played through the DJ Let me give some examples of what the names are supplied to the server, and which appear "Bon Jovi - somesong" result: "Bon" "Disturbed - somesong" result: "Disturbed" There is something wrong with the spaces in the metadata transmitted when the DJ operation. I have no idea what is the cause, I am counting on your help Thank you and best regards! and the metadata config section of our sc_trans config: Quote:

i assume you're using the current version of the Transcoder, if so then it's a known bug which is internally fixed (is due to the DJ metadata updates not being re-urlencoded in all cases).

Yes. is the current version.
Do you have any information on when this will be fixed? and the second question, since installing the sc _trans2 packed in no small trouble. Are sc_trans version 1x has support for mp3? We can not find any online documentation on this topic. If so, very please help how to turn it on |

i don't at the moment as i've got a long list of things to work on and the Transcoder always slips to the bottom of that. as i said it is internally fixed but i'm not keen on giving out test builds when i know it has been fixed (as too many people just stick with the test build instead of installing the public version which follows afterwards).
I don't understand what you mean by that comment. -daz |

I mean:
if someone is able to tell me how to set the sc-trans1 mp3 encoder? When in the configuration file for the old transcoder enter value: "encoder = mp3", log indicates "unknown encoder ' There is no online documentation how to setup previous version of transcoder Previously we are played at aac codecs, Suddenly appeared transcoder 2, and setting the configuration file to play MP3 has become a mystery to measure the Holy Grail |

the v2 Transcoder has been around since 2008 from what i remember reading and is the only supported version so the only 'official' documentation will be for the current version. the v1 Transcoder isn't even on the download servers from what i know so you would be on your own trying to get that running.
http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcas...tream_Encoding is what you need to check out for doing mp3 encoding with the v2 Transcoder which is clearly noted in that file and the getting started guide. -daz |
