Notification on Galaxy S Mesmerize

On my phone when I go into settings and select "Use lock-screen player" it doesn't do anything that not selecting that does. Is it suppose to? Is this feature not in yet? Somethings wrong?

Oh wow I lied. It works perfectly. I misread it and thought it said Notification player. A bit off... Anyway playback controls on the notification menu would be really nice as well.
