removed files still show up in Media Library

I've been using Winamp for 10+ years, and just got a new Vista machine. Normally, when you do a rescan of files for the media library, there's a little checkbox that says "remove missing files from library" and that has always worked historically. With the latest version of winamp, that box is still there, I have it checked, but when I run the rescan, it is not removing the missing files from my Media Library. What do I need to do so that when I move an mp3 into a different folder on my hard drive, winamp deletes the old file from the Media Library?

The function you're looking for is broken in the latest build, fixed for next release AFAIK.

For the time being use :

Media library > 'Library' button at bottom of the left hand pane > Remove missing files ...

This worked for me, I was trying to use the remove missing files from within the options dialog. using the library button > remove dead files... on the media library worked.
