Meta Data String Problem

Hi.

First sry for my Bad English... German you know :/

So my Problem is this:

I have Set up sc_serv 1.9.8 and sc_trans v2.

So far so good...

It works fine exept for one thing!

The Meta Info shows in Server like this:

code:
LMFAO%20feat%2E%20Natalia%20Kills%20%2D%20Champagne%20Showers

But only while Relaying my Master Server (256 Kbp/s AAC+ / sc_serv 1.9.8)

When i connect as a DJ it Works just fine! And when it plays a Playlist too! But while Relaying a Server i have this Problem

Server and Transcoder on the Same Machine @ Debian Squeeze 6 32 Bit

Do you have some Ideas to fix?

Greetings from Germany!

it's because the title is being incorrectly double url-encoded and was part of a number of fixes in sc_trans (assuming you are using the current sc_trans build) to improve compatibility in some scenarios.

however it is applied in some cases when it should not be which hopefully should be sorted out for when i'm able to do a newer sc_trans release (no eta). there is no config option which can be changed to disable this happening.

you need to wait for me to have the time to triage and fix the issue. when i've done that i'll contact you with a test build to try out to see if that resolves the issue or not.

sc_trans should not have problems sending the content to different servers. if this is something new from the test build provided for the prior issue then that needs to be dealt with over pm.

I'm also getting this url encoding issue in sc_trans v2.0.0.54, when relaying from v1.98 DNAS ... is there a newer build available with a fix ?

Thanks

there's not a publically available build with the fix and even though Chris-The-Tuner confirmed things working with an internal test build, things are not in a position for a new public build as other things need to be fixed plus i only give out one test build per issue which has been done in this case.

Thanks for the reply, daz. Would reverting to an older build cause me more problems than it solves? (and if not, which is the most recent build without this issue, and where can i get it?)

Thanks
Methos

i really cannot say what older version would work as so many different bits were changes between b40 and b54 with how titles are handled with generally most things being fixed as the builds went along. is up to you if you want to revert to an older one, is whether you then hit other bugs which were fixed in the newer builds over one of the older ones is worth it.

thanks, i'll check out the changelogs and try a few things out. I take it there is no eta for a new build with a fix for this yet?

cheers, understood. Build 51 seems to be doing what I need it to do at the mo. If I run into any more issues, I'll check whether they are fixed in 54 before shouting again.
