Start a specific Genre with a shortcut?

Hi! I'm using the scripting-program Eventghost at home to automate and control devices through my phone. Now I want to be able to start a specific Genre by pushing a button in my phone. I have been looking around in winamp får any shortcuts but the nearest I can find is Alt - L to enable/disable media library. I somehow want to navigate to the Genre window in winamp just by pushing keyboard-buttons if possbile. Then I can automate those buttons in eventghost and link them to a button in my phone.

I know that I can save every genre as a playlist then just run the pls-file but I'd rather skip that. Pls-files get outdated and I will constantly have to resave them.

Has anyone done anything like this?

Hi Flygekorre,

I can't help with your main question.

But look into making 'smart views' in the media library instead of using playlists to sort files by genre. Smart view genre lists will always be up to date (since they look through all files currently in the library each time you select them).

Good luck.
