Recording sound output (eg music playing in Winamp)

Hi,

I had a quick look on the forums but I couldn't find anything that answered this.

I currently have Winamp playing a directory of mp3's. Is there a way I could save the playing music (output) into a new file (mp3 or wave)?

Thanks for any guidance on this.

Oh okay, in truth there are plenty of apps that can record from the soundcard, I was hoping it was inbuilt into Winamp.

The out_disk.dll plug-in will write what is being played to a disk file, but you won't be able to hear the playback while it is doing so.
