Can not play aac files

hi...
I havedownloaded winamp player 5.62 but still i can not play aac files in that. please help me.

We'll need a bit more info ashutosh.

Did these same files fail in earlier versions? I'm assuming they did, right?

What file extention do these fies have - .aac, .mp4, .m4a ?
if it's .aac then try changing it to .mp4 and see if they play then.

Otherwise please supply the following info :

Would it be possible to upload a sample problem file to be looked at.
