CD-RW problems

I'm not sure if this is Winamp 2-related, but the problem started right after I installed it.

I didn't like winamp 3 so i uninstalled and reinstalled 2.91. Now I'm having cd-rw problems.

Before, I would put the cd-rw disc and I could just drag & drop files from the C drive to the E drive(i use Adaptec Direct CD). Everything in Windows Explorer would be laid out fine (for example, the E drive would list 30 files).

Now when I put a cd-rw disc in, winamp automatically opens up and instead of 30 files, winamp shows 1 big 74-minute file noting "unknown artist - track 1" (which it can't play since these are just data files).

I unchecked "associate with audio cds" in preferences, but now Real Player is opening up saying it's unable to detect an audio cd.

I've tried this on several of my data-filled cd-rw discs, and no matter what I do Winamp or Real Player keeps associating these as audio cd's and I'm unable to transfer any data. Please help!
