 1st April 2001, 23:42 #13 BullGawD Cool Guy.(Forum King)   Join Date: Feb 2001 Posts: 2,122 I also just found out that, as the ratings stand, when I changed mine to a 5 to see what would happen, you got 4 stars, and when I finally gave it the 4 I'd been leaning towards, you still had 3.5. so where does that make the rollover point now? Just tryin to help ...a blatant person.

Kinda raunchy review there, bro. I mean the review, not the stars. Almost puts me in mind of a certain winamp staffer who runs around rating skins. Not sure of his/her name, but I DO know his/her initials.

I can appreciate you or anyone else rating a skin with whatever star rating they see fit if it's based on merit, but to say, "I don't like picture/metal/whatever skins" and that's why I gave it what I gave it just isn't really a review imo. And it certainly isn't a critique. Can't get better without quality feedback, yes?

I suppose if this is how you (& others) choose to review skins, I (& everyone else) will have to learn to live with it. Ah well. Just my thots.

At any rate, thanks for thinking enuff of me to download and rate the skin at all.

I was rating all the skins in the 'post your links please' thread, and after the tenth or so skin...you know how it is. So, sorry for that...and the fact that I accidentally gave BathTile Bleu 0 stars (I intended to give it 5 ). So once again...my apologies. Not changing the review though. I still think it's a good , decent skin, but it somewhat lacks imagination and creativity ( btw the skin does leave something TO the imagination...but that's a whole other subject ) so I hope that this is enough feedback for ya I hope it's settled now.

I would never debate your internal reviewing standard. It's a personal thing. Thanks for giving a few more words tho. If anyone ever feels rating fatigue, stop and get refreshed before you continue. Keep in mind ... people work very hard on these skins sometimes. The least you can do is give them 5 minutes of your time to explore it fully. My buck and a half. Thnx amp.

Can someone please tell me how (5+3+5+?)/4 = 2.5??? Even if the ? = 0 the overall rating would still be a 3.25 by my 'real world' math. Granted, I don't have the technical know-how to derive winamp math functions. I'm sure they're advanced far beyond my abilities. So is this a glitch in the system I should contact admin over, or is this for real? Have a look. I think this skin is destined to be a knife in my back for life. ::sigh::

Counters 1 = +.1 2 = +.2 3 = +.3 4 = +.4 5 = +.5 If I had 10 Ratings on a Skin: ---> 5+3+1+3+5+5+3+1+5+5 39 Points Divided by 10 Ratings = 3.9 (-.2)3 + (-.4)2 = - 1.4 Score Shift: 3.9 - 1.4 = 2.5 - Joe, I may have my math wrong...??? But, I do belive they use some kind of weighting system similar to what I said for the negative counters. It at least would seem so... :|
