I won't be available for a couple of months, because I am a lumberjack and I'm ok.

Life is one long vacation Chez Ujay.

Of course, not having to go to work anymore helps a lot

Well good luck with the career change Daz, where are you heading with it ?

Being retired is OK but I do find myself with too much time on my hands sometimes. I need to take up a hobby, I've had a go at photography, which got me out of town a bit more if nothing else, but never really took to it.
I should play more music, I've been letting it slip lately and haven't done a live performance for more than a year.
So I spend a lot of time doing computery type things and fixing stuff and posting in GD.

The one good thing about work(apart from the higher income) is that it puts time limits on the day.
I just roll along and it's far too easy to put things off until later.
One of my old bosses had a saying "If you want something done straightaway, give it to someone who's already busy"

Personally, I'd love for a day to have just 8 more hours ...

8 working

8 doing shit I want to do

8 zzzzzzzzz'ing.

Hey wait .... that IS 24 hours

Ok honesty ...

16 working

8 doing shit I want to do

8 zzzzzzzzz'ing.

Post your address so we can, you know, look after your place while you are gone.

I am so important I feel the need to let it be known like a liberal discovering the internets for the first time. Uh hur hur hur. I also wash myself with a rag on a stick.

Happens a lot. People post stuff like this on their facebook/etc site too, with address and all. Every possible burglar knows where to be these days.

trying to get properly into software development (not going particularly well at the moment) after a few years in warehousing / admin roles. can understand the time limits thing as most days seem to have no real structure at the moment. only plus side is managed to get a fair bit of diy done on the house that the gf had been putting off doing.

Should suit you well then. If you'll take a tip, try and find something that has the potential to be more than just coding.

Good luck

Sure thing:

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest
Washington, DC 20500

Oh wait, you have probably seen my location on my profile. I lied. The DC address is really me. Can't be too honest online you know.

I'm not hard to find, and everyone knows I'm pretty much away from home all daylight hours during school days (and then some), and so is my wife for the same reason. I don't mind people knowing when I'm gone, because I have some vigilante redneck neighbors that will keep my place safe. If they hear my dogs bark (or if their dogs start barking), they'll know to check things out, and I extend the same favor for them. Plus, I'm insured.

Don't forget to live before you die.
