Relay Dropouts Even from LocalHost

I am relaying from a v2 DNAS server to a v1.9.8 on the same Linux box and yet the connection drops often (a few times an hour).

Is this a known bug in DNAS or is there some internal bottleneck I could check for? Linux "top" command shows I am only using 40% of CPU total so headroom should not be a problem.

This happens about once or twice an hour. Because my post was ignored last month I wonder if Shoutcast has a policy to no longer support v1 in any shape or form or was it just overlooked?

the v1 relay would be a listener to the v2 dnas -- do you have any settings on the v2 that would limit the listen time for the v1 relay?

Good guess, thanks, but unfortunately no. I have never used time limits in my config files.

It does not happen at regular intervals: it is as often as twice and hour and as rare as once every couple of hours.

with both on same box -- does the v1 use localhost or the box's ethernet interface (lan) address?

can you tell from the logs which dnas loses the connection first? does the v1 relay reconnect automatically?

The v2 DNAS does not even report a dropout!?!

As you can see, the reconnection is automatic.

Unfortunately we all have to run v1 to have our station work on TuneIn or vTuner How can nobody else have noticed this problem?

Winamp is discouraging us from running v1 but the player on their YP is hopeless.
