Censorship

I am getting sick and tired of censorship. It's everywhere, whatever happened to our right to free speech? God damn people who don't think it's right say 'that'. People who write artists and think they should 'watch their mouth'. If you don't like it, don't buy it for your kids. If you don't like whats on TV, change the channel. Watch fucking PBS. People need to learn the just deal with stuff. Like that reverend a while back who heard something he didn't like on the radio. Well reverend? Did you know that there were two knobs on the radio? One that turns it off and the other, get this, changes the station!

I live near mormon country and censorship is so bad out here you can't even fart on TV without it being blipped. Anyone remember when that video store in Utah chose to edit out "certain" parts of Titanic so mormons could see it? I do. I wish it was illeagal to do that to such a film.

I wish people wouldn't refer to Titanic as a classic film

Im not refering to it as a classic film, Im just giving an example. In my opinion, Titanic Sucks, but other classic films have also been butchered by mormon tv and video

Are you talking about "Family Flix"? I use to be Mormon, and I would hear so much crap about this that I thought I was going to lose my mind.

COMPLETELY illegal. I hope they get their asses sued.

Thing is, since the morons *cough* mormons rule the state of Utah, they can get away with anything they damn well please. Like taking a raw feed of the Superstation (TBS) and dubbing out every little possibility of anything. Err, wish this was the fuck you thread! Oh, and if you dont like bad words and stuff, dont watch it. Look at what CSI gets away with on CBS, thats pretty damn graphic. I agree that we are taking away from freedom of speech just so the younger audience (of whom probably know all the bad words that exist already) and their stupid parents dont have their ears hurt by one bad word. Sh*Beep*t, I can go on for ever, but I'm starting to rant so I'll stop.

yippie...

Free speach goes along with the freedom to think. Freedome of speach is also limited. How would you feel if I were riding on a plane with you and sharted shouting, "EVERYONE GET DOWN! THIS IS A HIJACK!"? You wouldn't do anything right? Because it is my freedome of speach to say that isn't it? It is. Also, what about if I walk up to your mother and say "Listen you mother f*cker, in about 30 seconds I am going to blow your brains all over that wall over there." You should just continue on your normal ways because I am merely expressing my freedom of speach. Yes these are rather extreme examples, but the point is we have the freedome and we shouldn't bitch about it's limitations, we should praise the freedoms it does give. Go live in China or in the Old Russia (Sovie Union?) where you can't say anything. That will teach you to appreciate the freedoms you do have.

Exersize your freedome to THINK first people.
