Rate my Work!

I started makeing WallPapers in my spare time while listening to music to see what happens. And I think I did alright but I want a wider group of people then just friends and my family to tell me what they think. So rank what you think from what I show.

Thanks

Instead of General Discussions, go to Arts and Design forums so that people don't consider your links as spam.

I like your work, but it reminds me too much of AVS preset still-shots.

not bad...
not exactly good either..
i've seen worse, i've seen better...

those are OK entry level wallpapers but not much more.
try to do a landscape or something not quite so abstract so that people can tell what it should look like, also attention to detail will get you EVERYWHERE in the wallpaper industry and make sure you try to output stuff that looks like someone screencapped an HD TV and put it on the desktop, i know what i'm saying is very hard to do and time consuming, but if you're REALLY interested in doing this and maintaining your own site (that's just an assumption, and even so of possibles to come for you) you will have to step it up a notch...
also many people like simple things that have tons of detail, for instance a simple 3 dimensional cube sectioned out like a "rubik's cube" or some similarity seems to be something i like a lot, but it still depends mainly on the quality and time spent on your work.

so, in conclusion :
don't quit your dayjob over this, but it's not bad.
*thumbs up* just for touching graphic design, i've tried it a few times, and absolutely HATED going over it zoomed in to get my pixels completely in line, err i just hated it in general, i don't have the patience to do it the way i want to.

[EDIT] also check out Lightwave you can do amazing things with that bit of software there. [/EDIT]

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.

Don't take it too hard - getting less than perfect criticism is what makes people want something better, meaning if you like your work now but want others to like it too, your next peices will be even better, allowing you to grow as an artist and like your work even more, not just for the sake of others, but for your own sake too.

I concur, but keep experimenting and look at what others have done at deviantart and elsewhere for ideas. Google up some instruction pages too for hints on how to use Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.

This is very true. I figured out how to do a ton of cool shit with instructions from others, variating and skipping steps and shit can make your work look fucking awesome.

Now that you mention it, I do notice a P$ycHo bump epidemic that's spreading like cancer.

You posted in 16 threads some of which are well over 6months - 1 year old.

No one cares about that many somethings that you have to say. Let alone in threads that old.
