I am migrating my Winamp from an XP Pro machine to a Vista one.
I found my winamp.bm but it was in the main Winanp folder and not in Apps.
I cannot get it to be recognised in the new Vista installation in the main Winamp folder - is this because it was never in the Apps one?
Totally confused.
And I have just noticed that I have no winamp.ini file in the new Vista folder!

If you are using an old install then settings are saved in the install directory. If you are using a clean install of v5.5 or later then the default is to use %appdata%. This is easy to change, remove paths.ini in the install folder. I believe Vista has a tantrum if you try to use the installation folder to store settings.Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS

Copy your old settings over your new Winamp settings? I don't know what you mean by "category entries".Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS

If you read its description then you would see that you need to make sure that you copy winamp.bmc to the new location.Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS
