Able to burn Data CDs (Mp3 Discs)

Hey, I can't or have never been able to find a plugin for winamp that allows me to burn a data cd instead of a audio cd. This would be way more helpful to be able to do instead of having to browser my entire library by folder. It would be nice to send it straight to CD as data from the playlists. I hope I make sense. I just want to be able keep them in mp3 format for my car so I could have multiple albums on one cd.

Thanks,
Wyatt

this request is already in the wishlist

a tip: if you have Nero Burning Rom (version 6+, I think) you can burn mp3 data discs from a playlist (created with Winamp); Nero Express has a wizard to do this

just drag & drop a playlist in Nero Express window (after selecting mp3 data disc)

Such a basic task, such as burning a data CD, should be handled by WinAmp. WinAmp already burns audio CD's, burning MP3 cd's ought to be a simple addition.

I burn MP3 cd's for the car all the time, but have to use other means. I would definitely use a feature like this.

I was looking for the same feature but was surprised that winamp didn't carry it already, it would be totally awesome.

Assuming it could do data DVDs as well, this feature would be invaluable. Even moreso if it could also transcode before burning. I'd love to be able to burn subsets of my collection for other more space cramped systems (like old laptops.)

Winamp is a MEDIA PLAYER, it is not CD BURNING SOFTWARE. You can't have one program do everything good, some thing has to give eventually.

If you want a good media player, don't bog it down with all kind of things that have nothing to do with playing your favorite mp3's.

Well, yes. But Winamp (and most other media players these days) are selling themselves as a one stop source for everything you need to do. Given that goal, this seems like a relatively small request considering Winamp can already burn audio cds.

Either way, I suppose debating it is a moot point if it's already sitting up on the list waiting to be done or ignored.
