Flash it up baby!

Hi,

Ok.. as some of you may know.. I've spent the last couple of days working on a website-project. And it's almost done too (good... cuz I'm kinda losing touch with reality )

Anywho.. one of the few things missing, is a really cool flash intro. Haven't ever used flash before (I have FlashMX). Can anyone give me a useful link for a GOOD flash tutorial?

Flash 4 and 5 were the best because of scripting and somewhat ease of use. I'm interested to play with Flash MX if I can get my own server and a copy of the software so I can play with the scripting even further because it can supposedly interact via PHP, or so I hear.

http://www.flask-kit.com or maybe without the '-' has some good Flash 3/4 tutorials/instructions.

See what I'm listening too.

Until at least 70% of the world is broadband, flash has no place in 95% of proper web design.

Now is the time for all good Americans to come to the aid of their Country

i agree, flash is a good resorce only when it is small for right now, a whole site built on flash would kill a 56k (why are they called a 56k i think it more closer to 5.6k)

Kilobits per second = kbps
Kilobytes per second = KBps

56k modem is in kilobits, divide by 8 to get kilobytes (your KB/sec download rating) and you have a theoretical maximum of 7KB/sec. Except line noise, FCC regulations (53 kbps), and transmission overhead keep your maximum transfers on a 56k modem around 5.5 KB/sec or so. Better?

Thx for all your answers!

I used the tutorials at Macromedia.com that was enough for the beginning!... and I made a little cheap intro (my site doesn't start off with an Intro... when you go to index.php it lets you choose if you want to go to the main page or watch the intro).

I'll keep up working with flash.. so I can make a better flash intro soon!

P.S. THE REST OF THE SITE CONTAINS NO FLASH WHAT SO EVER!
