Have you skinned for WA3?

I just wondering how hard it is. Rough estimate, how long does it take to complete one compare to making WA2? Two times as long, three, four?

Depends on the skin. I'd say three times as long if you skin all the components and add fancy maki stuff.

Been skinning WA3 for nearly 18 months now, and I'm still re-fining my products almost every week when I discover something new about the system, or a new build change forces some skin change

Muh skins so far...

This skin was drawn by Xerexs, all XML, Image cutting and Maki by moi, full skin took about 2 months to complete, then constant tweaking on it over the last 6 months, minor modifications, enhancements and so on.

Little throw away skin I did for shits and giggle, scripted and built in about 30 minutes.

Nother skin finished, waiting for next release of WA3 as it uses features only available in nex gen builds

2 More on the drawing board, another one sort of parked for the time being, some of the stuff it was doing worked in the beta releases but was borked come full release time, maki regions and so on, that may see the light of day if they ever get fixed.

It's no harder than anything if you put your mind to it, scripting is a bit of a bitch, once you find your way though it's fairly easy, my first scripts started off simple, by the time we got to Media Whore and LFb3 the scripts were several hundred lines long doing all kinds of l337 shit, the skin I have finished and not yet release feature about 2000 lines of compiled code, I had as much fun writing that as I did drawing up the skin.

i am in progress for my first wa3 skin, but i really think some people should learn some basic graphics design and placement before going on to make any skin.

There are way too many skins that just plain suck out there =|

I tried to make a WA3 skin once, but none of those people in the WA3 skins forum would help me solve any of my problems. Good thing WA3 sucks, or else I might still be trying to get that skin to work.

Standard probably won't be coming out any time soon so it pays yo just install Winamp3 now. You have the option to not install some of the Winamp3 features like the Media Library, etc.. as you would do with a Standard version.
