Cover me this. Cover me that....

I was just wondering if anyone else had dreams of a band doing a cover song.

There have been a lot of great covers talked about in other threads in Music O'Rama, but what if you could pick which band would cover which song.

In my case I would love to hear Marilyn Manson cover Radiohead's - Creep

Here's to hoping

Suburbia: The place where they clear down trees and then name roads after them

I don't really think of one band doing a cover of another band's song. If I want a cover and/or a different version of a song, I tend to learn it and do it myself. (eg. cover of Coldplay's Amsterdam on my site, see sig). Although it would be pretty cool to hear different bands do stuff, putting their own style into it.

Nice cover
You did it all yourself?

I had a listen to some of your songs, and I'm quite impressed
Tomorrow is nice, Imaginary girl is very nice as well! I like the timing in the latter one.

But to stay on topic: I once tried to make a cover of Dire Straits - Private Investigations, in German: Private Investigationen
But actually that was more a joke and I never finished it...

fixed stupid typo

Thanks , yeah I'm lucky cause I'm doing Audio Engineering at Uni so I get to use all the nice studio equipment and stuff. I'm getting better at it, so sound quality etc is improving slowly.

The piano in 'Synthesizer' sounds very good! A lot better than the sound quality of the piano in Amsterdam...
Also a lot better than the playing on the piano in Amsterdam (by me ).

I'm pretty pissed off by the number of covers the music industry produces these days so I'd rather not think about what band should to what covers. But well, Weird Al Yankovic's covers are often pretty cool. There's no specific song I'd like him to cover, though.

Yeah Weird Al's stuff is usually good and pretty funny too.

Could you really call those covers? More like Parodys if you ask me.

Weird Al does both. He does these medleys which are covers(usually to a polka beat, which ends up sort of ska sounding when applied to the usual pop/rock tracks), and he does parodies. He also does original stuff as well. Now that
would be pretty interresting, somebody coverring or parodying Weird Al for a change.
