Hi all, Help me identify this song

I've wondered about this song for years. It dates late sixties to into the seventies. I must have heard it on top 40 AM radio or Rock FM station. I don't know the name, artist or any lyrics but It's about driving through LA at night. I think sitting at a traffic light is mentioned. Sings about listening to a preacher on the radio and I think something is said about Jesus. I've Googled many combinations of words and looked at pages and pages of hits and nothing. If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
