    Starting my own Shoutcast Server

    Hi all,

I am quite interested in starting my own Shoutcast station, and I just had a few questions about how to go about it. I've already got my own dedicated server so that won't be an issue and a fairly good understanding of how to setup the server, but my main concern is how do you guys (those of you that have your own stations) play the music you play?

With all the stupid copyright requirements on media these days, how do you get passed that or get permission to play songs?

Thanks in advance for the help!

The copyright isn't an issue but some people that come across your station may report it as a "pirate" shoutcast station. It's not a big deal at all, but it doesn't get listed on the public shoutcast directory
