How to limit bitrate on Shoutcast 1.9.8

Hello I am running a Shoutcast Host. I am woondering how i can limmit bittarate to like 96 kbps so the user can not go over that?

you cannot do that with v1 and there is no way to get it to do it.

you can do it already with v2 using 'maxbitrate' or 'streammaxbitrate' (with a minimum option and an alias option to set the maximum and minimum values to the same value to come in the next v2 release - not yet released).

you can already limit to 96kbps (or whatever maximum bitrate) with the current v2 release (as I stated).

it's _only_ if you want to allow just 96kbps that you need the next release (so there is the means to limit the lower bitrate).

you can limit it to any applicable bitrate value. I only used 96 as that was what you'd provided as an example.
