JDownloader's OGG-files

Hi folks,
maybe someone else is still listening to files he downloaded in the web with winamp ,
and can help.


JDownloader greatly downloads e.g. files from utube.
Often only the downloadable OGG-variant has good bitrate.
But winamp doesn't play these

I found this interesting similar thread,
he couldnt play m4a from JDownloader from utube.
But strangly this thread was closed :

- reinstalled the newest version

fre:ac (and eac) as converter work wonderful.

But if anyone has any glue of the core problem, let me know

Post a link or attach the "ogg" file that won't play. I'll poke it with a stick and see what it does.

That took a while to download.


First thing I did was open it in my hex editor and immediately recognized the file's header. It's just a standard opus audio file (opus encoded audio in an OggSquish container.)

If you haven't already, install the BogProg Support for the Opus Codec in Winamp plugin. Change the file extension to .opus then put into Winamp. It plays fine.

shame on me I didnt remember using hex-editors, me having been an IT guy
So wish me fun renaming 700 files. Gladly there are tools
