empty playlists on Samsung Captivate/Galaxy S
I installed Winamp on the Samsung Captivate/Galaxy S to be able to read my existing m3u playlists from my old phone, and it worked fine. I was happy.
The problem is that when I attach the phone in either USB media player or USB mass storage mode, then disconnect it, the media scanner runs and all the playlists within Winamp are still listed but are now empty. The m3u files on the card have not changed. My best workaround is to dismount and remove the card, delete the playlists from within Winamp (with the card out, the m3u files won't be deleted -- made that mistake once!), and re-insert the card. Once media scanner runs again, the playlists are again fine. As another experiment to see if the USB connection was a problem, I dismounted and removed the card, then re-inserted it. What I got in Winamp was that each playlist was listed twice -- the first one, which was now empty, and the second, which was fine. Anybody else hit this or have a solution? Thanks, John S. |
