Winamp doesn't detect iPod

Hello. The problem I am having is, that my mother wants to use winamp to manage her iPod, because the new iTunes really sucks, but for some reason winamp doesn't detect the iPod. The problem is, it DOES detect my iPod. I also tried it on another computer, but nothing works, it just doesn't detect it. This in only a problem with winamp, because Windows does detect it, and I can also use other sotware (Like sharePod) and it detects the iPod perfectly.

I am using an iPod nano 4th generation, and my mother uses an iPod nano 5th generation, both of them with 8GB.
Things that did NOT work:
- Resetting the iPod
- using another computer
- deactivating and reactivating 'use as disk' option
- deactivating / activating manually managing the music

Alas, we don't support any of the newer models (Nano 5/6G, Touch, iPhone).
There's no sdk for developers available from Apple.

We've had support working a couple of times before in the past (via reverse engineering!),
but Apple released updated firmware within a matter of days which broke it again, so we just gave up in the end.

We now concentrate mostly on Android instead :-)
