New to Shoutcast.
Hello All,
I am listening to a radio station. I would like to own my own radio station, but I do have some reservations. Number one being how am I going to get an audience. As a Broadcast Student I only got one email request for a song. My main question on this forum is, does Shoutcast has a playlist when I join or do I have to find the music myself? Other than that, I will look at the other shoutcast forum that are looking for DJs. |

No, you must legally obtain the music that you broadcast; shoutcast does not come with any.
You must also pay royalties on the music that you broadcast if you str not the creator of the music or if you do not have written permission from both the artist and their label. If you get a DJ, the only thing that drops out of your obligations is finding the music. The legal issues are still on you, the station owner. |
