5.1 sound system for a PS2 ?

I'm looking to buy a 5.1 kit for my PS2. I'm not looking for a stellar system, just a robust one with good sound quality and not to expensive if possible.

Any recommendations ?

I use my regular surround sound system for my gaming needs alas the system cost $500.. but if you froogle you might find something suitable to your desires and budget.

or maybe a local retailer might have that which you desire

I use a set that was orginally from my pc, it works pretty well, but that was an old 2.1 surrond sound system. I know have on my pc, a 6.1 surrond system, nice.

Normally, I would use my stereo system like EfaustuS9 does, but I don't have my GameCube hooked up next to my PC. Of course, my system is a 4.1 surround system that I made myself with individual components. Sherwood RD-6105 surround receiver, Bose 301 series IV main speakers, KLH wall-mount 2-way surround speakers, and a Jensen JP-S12 powered subwoofer. Altogether, those components MSRP almost $800. I think that's a little more than you're looking for. Sounds great, though.

Go to your local Best Buy or Circuit City or whatever other electronics store you have nearby. Go to the computer speakers section and pick out a 5.1 setup that includes a video game system adapter(just changes rca to a headphone jack thingy) You should be able to find a decent 5.1 for $100 or less.
