Plugin Request: Stop and Advance

A lot of times, when I'm going to go away from the computer, I tell it to "Stop After Current," so I can finish listening to the current song, and know it'll stop.

When I come back, though, it's a bit annoying that it's still the same somg there (before you ask, yes, I'm very lazy), so I was wondering if it is possible to have a "Stop and Advance After Current" action, so I can just come back, press play, and enjoy an entirely new song.

Anyway, I hope someone can help me with this!

this currently will do the advance on stop in all cases of stopping (was done as a request by SOOPRcow) -> tempted to add a menu config option to the menus like close after current does.

not a very big issue (and might not be easy to fix)
please use your time and intellect for the great enqueue plugin instead
but just to have it mentioned:

when you have a song played, and you notice some info isn't correct, you can open the id3 info box
so you edit what you want and click 'update'
then winamp stops the song for updating the id3-tag and immediately starts again at the time you were before
BUT: with advance on stop enabled this happens:
- click 'update'
- winamp stops
- advances to next song
- starts again at time before, but the next song!

maybe it should be set that the advance only works when you manually stop the song

but again: there are more important things in life

Wow... Hard to believe that I actually started this thread...

Anyway, I have a feature request for Next on Stop:
Is it possible to make is work in conjunction with "Close after Current?" Sometimes I just want to close Winamp or shut down my computer down after a song is done, but I can't do that and have it play a different song when it starts up.

Again, yes, I'm very lazy, but I was hoping for this small feature.

Thanks again for making these two great plugins (NoS and CaC), DrO!

Next on Stop v1.2.1
  • on/off state is saved to winamp.ini whenever it is altered now (needed for compatibiliy with Close After Current 1.5.1)

download v1.2.1

Bit of a long lost plugin this but hopefully someone will find use for it especially in conjunction with this. In the newer JTFE when that comes out the issue with this plugin, etc will also hopefully be fixed at last.
