There are some ideas to further improve it, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do this all day

I released a new version in attempt to fix that nasty bug causing the visual glitches when using icon overlays + pausing Winamp for a longer time.

It should also use less CPU.

never mind (I posted something that I figured out.) After a few hours everything seems fine. I have noticed the installer runs Winamp as administrator, so the thumbnail doesn't work on the first run (the thumbnails also don't work (like on page 1 by Good_Bytes) if I click on the shortcut and make Winamp run as admin.) Maybe there is a way to have the installer run Winamp with normal privileges or not have it ask to run Winamp?

Yeah, that's what I do if I remember or I just restart . No big deal, I just thought it may be a easy fix in the installer.

I ran into another problem though. Sometimes the shadow drawn below the text (black or red) displays one more letter that the white text. An example is the song 'The Inevitable Return Of The Great White Dope' by 'The Bloodhound Gang' when you have Font size set to 15 and Bold selected. The white layer shows 'The Inevitable Return Of' and the shadow shows 'The Inevitable Return Of T'.

I don't know if it matters, but my settings for text written on thumbnail are:
%c%%artist%
%c%%title%

%c%Track: %curtime% / %totaltime%

%c%Playlist: %curpl% / %totalpl%

Yes I noticed once, but I didn't gave it much importance cuz I had other stuff to fix, but I'll check it out.

With the latest build icon overlay bug seems to fixed. I havent seen the double taskbar button yet. Thanks !

The .65 build crashes on startup if the playlist was empty from the previous shutdown again like I reported a few builds ago. If the playlist wasn't empty on shutdown, or if on startup songs were played and the the playlist was emptied it doesn't crash on hover.

.66 doesn't crash, but I can't get it to display album art anymore (just the Winamp llama.)

Do you have aero enabled?

No, only buttons are allowed on the thumbnail. I've got a suggestion to put + and - buttons for volume, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea yet.

Nevermind i think it was a bug cause now it works fine.
+ - button could help if each click adds like +-5 volume

Thanks! Working perfectly for me now! For me Winamp is almost always playing the first song in the playlist if I don't have shuffle on. I use a plug-in to remove songs from the playlist after they are played, so if I use shuffle I don't have to hear songs more than once.

I have another request... I'd like time remaining in the song (and maybe time remaining in the playlist), but only if it is easy for you to implement. I don't want you to waste a bunch of time on something only I'd use.

I could do remaining time (after I've finished this version checker thingy), but there is no support for playlist length in time. Unless you want me to query the length of all items in playlist and add their lenght one by one

New version: it checks for any updates at startup (you can turn it off), and you can check the current plug-in version from the configuration window

Added %timeleft% metaword, it will be replaced by the time left from the current playing song

There might be some bugs, I was kinda in a hurry when making this. Tomorrow I'm leaving country for 2 weeks, so if you find anything, post them today.

If you want to make some translations, go ahead, I will collect them once I get back, and upload them. I accept ANY language. (Except elven)

comments (win 7 pro):

1. at install - instead of "win 7 taskbar installed" should say "win 7 compatible taskbar for winamp" installed

2. had to restart after install to get areo peak working

3. sometimes hard to read text with album art, more text options such as inverted colors, or black text, or switching between the two depending on album art (last one is a brain-teaser)

hopefully winamp decides to integrate this or similar feature/s in winamp

misterdan - I know it's hard to read the text, but I can't improve this atm.. if you have suggestions in form of source code, I will gladly accept them.

for the colors - maybe a separate column in the Information box would better work. The standard colors, ROYGBIV, shouldn't be too hard to add within the code since it's only

you can add in the rest of the colors, or have a separate section within the code for colors as to clear up clutter. Clearing clutter would be the same reason to separate the colors from the rest of the information box

Well I don't know much about this, I'm sorry I'll take a look when I'll have some time.

That is not a bug, because it's not supporting reading the ID3v2 tag. The Winamp SDK has no support for album art, so I'm just reading the image files I can find in the folder. There are libraries made for reading ID3v2 tags, but atm I can't start working on it. If anyone has a part of code which uses these libraries to get the picture out, I'll accept.

Also, there is a better way to do translation files then INI (which is simple). We can use official translation system (WLZ). Here is something about how to use it with Winamp plugin. http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...0&#entry610160

That way will give us, translators, possibility to translate lng resource file, and we can resize controls as we want. This lng file have to be packed to wlz and placed to winamp lang dir.
Maybe it will be useful...

Here is the updated polish language file, with that 1 additional line.

Problems:
1. Everytime I launch Winamp, messagebox tells me to download new version of plugin - I have 0.72 - Updater should compare it and if it is the same not display that message
2. New line "Remove Winamp window title" is correctly displayed in plugin configuration, but seems that it is not translatable - i have added this line to my file and it is still in english...
3. Can you resize "Browse" button? I need a little bit more space.
4. Can you add version info to the plugin name, that is displayed in Winamp plugins list? (like other plugins do, for example: Windows 7 Taskbar Integration v0.72 [gen_win7shell.dll]

Have no email from you. But, I am not a person who can talk more detail about translation system (I am official Winamp translator, but I didnt project this system )
I think, the best person to do it is DrO. He is the best. If he find time, he can help you, as he designed this system.

(Of course, first you should finish it and add official translation system.)

Well I've sent it to <EMAIL_REMOVED>, but nevermind. Can you give me some details on how you edit them? Do you edit the whole GUI, or just the stringtable? Do you specify what language is it, or it somehow finds it out automatically? Do you need to include it in the whole Winamp translation, or can it be stand-alone .wlz file and just copy it into the lang directory?

Using WLZ system, I can edit all resources, like Menu, String table, Dialogs, etc (whole GUI).. Each wlz file is for 1 language. In our case, we can create resource dialog file or ini file. And this file place to wlz, which is packed zip file.
The limitation is, that somebody have to place that translation file to wlz file.
Really, you should talk with Dro. He know everything. I have no idea how to implement it to plugin source to work with Winamp Api.
