Is there any way to use inputs on specific mp3s only?

I don't want the same input plugin for every mp3. Is that possible to setup?

My only guess is that he wants to specify mp3/mp3hd/mp3pro/mp3 surround since those idiots decided to use the same damn .mp3 extension
