    Integer Divide By Zero Error

    WinAmp 5.8 Build 3660
From install, plays all files except APE & DSF.
Install APE using Monkey's Audio 5.17 Winamp.exe file.
Now plays all files including APE.
Install DSF compatability using in_dsd.dll v1.1.
    Now no files will play!
I get an error panel and an email stating:
Winamp client version: 5.8 Build 3660
winamp caused an Integer Divide by Zero (0xc0000094)
    in module in_dsd.dll at 0023:5d45d8bb.
    Exception handler called in Winamp.

Not sure why this module is being invoked for MP3s?
    Deleting in_dsd.dll clears the error.

I then tried an older older version of in_dsd.dll and get the same problem.

My soundcard is capable of playing DSF files using Foobar, but I want WinAmp to be my default player (as it has always been, hoorah!). I normally only use Foobar for file conversion to MP3 as it keeps all the metadata and artwork which a lot of converters don't.

Does anyone know of a way to fix DSF file playback in WinAmp?

there are two errors that are windows problems
the code 0xc0000094 tells me in google that you can solve that by downloading a piece of software from windows ( microsoft)
and the missing DSD.DLL can also be solved with a windows download.

and if you deleted the monkey audio 5.17 and try an MP3 file , does it still crash?
so a clean install of winamp without any plugins?

Thanks for the reply, but you appear to be mistaken.
A divide by zero error is not Microsoft specific. It relates to any software code written. Winamp reports this as there is something leading to this error in Winamp, which appears to come from the use of the dll which is affecting the core code in Winamp.
I don't need the dll, unless there is a later version that works.

My first thought would be to convert anything ape or dsf to MP3 or ALAC / FLAC.

Do the two plugins work on 5.666?

I have already stated that Winamp works when the dll file is removed.
Why on earth would I want to delete my APE capability when it has nothing at all to do with my problem?
            The dll is the issue.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't DSD not natively supported by winamp, so it requires a 3rd party plugin? If that plugin is causing the issue, then you might have to hunt for another plugin as it is hard to offer tech support for a 3rd party plugin. Most crashes and issues are either related to 3rd party plugins or clean installing 5.8 beta (have you tried 5.666 instead?).

Personally I like MrSinatra's suggestion for converting it to FLAC as that is natively supported and easier to manage.

                Thank you.
Except of course, that DSD and flac are two different formats entirely with the first being and sounding much superior to the second.
For similar reasons, I shall not be converting to 128bit MP3 either!

My question appears to be clear and unambiguous:
Does anyone know of a way to fix DSF file playback in WinAmp?

Any response should reflect that request.
The answer to what is 2 + 2 should not include philosophical debate about the state of differing numbering systems!

                  Ur not very pleasant.

And since FLAC is lossless and can handle lots of different criteria, I think it's at least worth looking into if DSD or whatever format can be converted to it, bc if it can there would be no degradation in quality.

                    I'll just leave this here
                    https://www.forums.stevehoffman_tv/t...-files.513859/
                    (replace the _tv with dot(.)tv)

The only option is find another plugin or use a different media player since it's obvious the 3rd party plugin doesn't work.
