80gig iPod transfer crashes

Fresh install of 5.33
WinXP SP2
Averatec laptop
AMD Turion64 @ 1.7MHz 1GB RAM
VIA/S3G DeltaChrome IGP running S3 Graphics Co. v6.14.10.38
Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM) running VIA Technologies Inc. v6.14.1.4150
DirectX 9.0c
I assume pmp_ipod.dll dated 2/13/2007 is acting up

G'day y'all!
I'm hoping I'm not the only one to come across this problem.

When I transfer songs to my 80gig iPod, WinAmp crashes. If I try to transfer 1 song, it gets to 96-98%, then crashes with the standard "Winamp has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience...." I have attached MS's error report.
If I try to send 2 songs to the iPod, the transfer progress indicates that the first files goes through, and the crash occurs at the end of the second file's transfer. Same thing with more songs, the crash happens at the end of the last song.
At any rate, none of the songs show up on the iPod either through Winamp or from the iPod menu itself.

My 30gig iPod transfers still work fine.

Could the latest changes have made pmp_ipod.dll incompatible with the 80gig iPod?

Thanks in advance, guys/gals, I'm off to revert to 5.32

Yeah, sounds like it.

You didn't specify, is it also an 80 gig iPod you're having trouble with?

Actually, I have a different model.
I have the 40 GB iPod Model# M9268LL/A (4th Generation)
Firmware version 3.1.1 (which is the latest for my model)

Its definitely a problem that has been introduced in version 5.33. But I can't see why. You can do one playlist at a time... and it doesn't seem to crash. But if I do a complete sync, it will crash. I am just guessing that it has something to do with the unicode implimentation. If any of the devs have any more information, that would be appriciated.
