I download very well thank you. Oh you meant services, didnt you? I use bittorent, kazaa lite, waste and good old fashioned IRC.

I thought this was done just recently?

I use BT and winmx, but I am not into downloading music, just stuff I could not get anywere else, and stuff the RIAA doesnt give a shit about. So dont even think about it.
Anyone know of some good BT sites... or is that against form rules?

Soulseek is the greatest for music, however unreliable the server may be.

I download stuff when I'm looking for one specific song, often something quite obscure. I buy music as well, when I like a particular band. I tend to use WinMX first, and if I can't find what I'm looking for I'll switch to Kazaa Lite (which does still exist btw, or I don't know where the files are coming from).

WinMX is nice because if you download an mp3 it's an mp3 the whole time, so I can listen to all of what I've downloaded so far in Winamp or whatever. Kazaa has a lot more users but I hate the way it makes a .dat until it's complete and when you preview it in Kazaa itself you never hear all of what you've actually got downloaded ('cus of how it does download packets or whatever, I know).

I would have voted for Kazaa(lite) but as it's illegal to download music with it...I'm not going to say if I download muisic with it or without it

Lol, if RIAA can track me down and recover the mp3's of my HD then goodluck as i'd have them cleared by formatting then opening the HD up and bashing it with a hammer only a 1.6Giga

I buy music on good old CDs. I didn't pay £200 for a CD player without intending to use it.

Plus, I would never pay to buy music online. It's compressed.

I use, K-Lite: it's the only p2p network I can find that's just as good as the old Napster was (at least in my opinion)...

This is a sig of some nature.

Same here...

And now for my file-sharing n00b question: What is this Bitorrent I hear people talk about? Anyone care to 411 me on this?
