do some people fail to notice their own stupidity?

clicky clicky

Quote:
A New Brunswick father is suing the provincial amateur hockey association after his 16-year-old son failed to win the league's most-valuable-player award.

Michael Croteau is seeking $300,000 in psychological and punitive damages from the association. He is also demanding that the MVP trophy be taken from the boy who won it and given to his son, Steven, as well as the league's playmaker award, which was awarded to a different boy. Croteau also wants Steven to be guaranteed a spot on the New Brunswick Canada Winter Games roster.

Steven led the league this season with 45 goals and 42 assists in 27 games. The league MVP, Lucas Martin who plays for Moncton, had 21 goals and 39 assists, fourth in the league.
the statistic they forgot to mention was the 'Father-Factor', which in this case is what i think brought poor stevens valuableness right down.

You laugh now, but you have no idea how fraught with cronyism New Brunswick's minor hockey league is.

embarrassment is often linked with surprise...
..."oh i didnt realise you know, oh my"

if i didnt understand what i was saying why would i ever expect anyone else to? without surprise there can be no embarrassment

it is for that reason i dont feel an ounce of embarrassment, only 16.384 tonnes of blatant stupidity

For those of you who actually read the article:

Hard work does bring rewards. But they may not come in the form of a trophy or world wide recognition.

From playing hockey, he is now fit, he has both social and teamworking skills, and in a couple of years, if he keeps working at it he could end up in the NHL or something. Now that's rewarding. Being in the NHL... Millions of dollars, worldwide recongnition, girls, huge house, etc.

And anyways, who wants a trophy if you have to sue someone for it?

Well, i think the dad should get a trophy. One with the titl "Worlds Stupidest Person".

Demanding that your child be appreciated makes about as much sense as, pop music. That is it makes no since. Children must learn early that not everything can be handed to them on a silver platter. Life's not fair, get used to it.

Some people refuse to take notice of their own stupidity for one main reason.
This reason being that they are huge assholes.
This of course brings the bernoulli principal into operation, since as is self evident, huge assholes suck, causing a vacuum within the diaphram, because of which the lungs are not able to work properly.
This causes a shortage of oxygen, which, when added to the noxious gasses emited by assholes (huge ones in particular), induces a pathological state of intoxication underwhich the asshole takes full control of all life processes, including thought.
By projection the asshole believes everyone else to be as full of shit as they themselves are, thus becoming convinced that it is right and everyone else is wrong (full of shit in asshole-think).
This concludes todays lecture, what-ever it was about.
Bye.

Yeah, perhaps, if proven, my asshole hypothesis may someday be reduced to theory.
Would my avatar frighten you less if you knew that not only is it female, but she's also considered one very hot babe among her species?

Yeah!
And whatever happened with that one lady who sued the tobbacco company for something stupid like 300 million dollars or something. She won, but the tobbacco companies brought the case back up and that was the last I heard of it.

Ummmm, not really.
She's of the old earth type, of those who now dwell in the chasm, abysse, nether world, ect..
There is much more within the earth than without, at least thats what she says.
Talks a lot about resonant harmonics, and light-wave frequencies, laughs about surface dwellers being dense, and can leap about 60 yards, to demonstrate, laughing in her own little way, which sounds rather like an old steam locomotive has run over a caliope played by a speed freak....she knows we are weak too, but is too polite to mention it.
Humans used to make her feel all icky because of the whole epidermis thing, but we got past it.
A most pleasant person, I assure you!
Gargoyles are pretty much just water spouts.

GodDamn That's stupid. What's the world coming to? The kid, AND The father should just admit that the kid's not as good as the other kid who won it, and let it go. If the father has to do something crazy like kill himself then I'll help him plan it out. But ripping off somebody else's well-earned trophy? That's bullshit. If they win, I swear to god I'll blow up Canada.
