Question Winamp on PDA for whole-house audio

Well here goes:

just built a new home. the whole house is wired for 5 zones and with 19 speakers all home run to an audio closet. Also each room is networked with 2 CAT5e runs and 2 RG6 runs. I will put a spare PC in the audio closet to work as an MP3 server. I would like to control Winamp (or other PC on the server from any point around my house using a Wi-Fi enabled PDA. I know there are IR solutions like streamzap but this is line of sight. And I don't want to install targets and transmitter all over the house.
