Do you belive in destiny?

Do you belive that it is possible that two people of opposed sex, that they just met, have so many things in common and both feel the chemistry of a love at first sight?

Possible, sure. But I don't think it has anything to do with destiny.

I met a girl like that once. And we both could have sworn we knew eachother before to but for the love of gawd neither of us could remember where. I knew her for 3 weeks then I found out she had a controlling boyfriend and never saw her again.

It wasn't quite love at first sight for the hubby and me. More like lust at first sight

I don't believe in destiny. I don't believe in love at first sight. I do, however, believe in lust at first sight. You have to know someone to fall in love, otherwise it's not real love.

...And why do they have to be members of the opposite sex? If destiny were possible for heterosexuals, then it would be for homosexuals as well. (Or for any other sexual preference, for that matter.)

...Unless you want to get into quantum theories related to time...parallel events and multiverses. Everything that occurs does so in its own "thread" of existence, and every thread has its own destiny in the context of a moment in time, but not outside of it. And so forth..... But that's not a very "romantic" analysis, is it?

I think things can be destined to happen on a large scale. But I see it more like something is gonna happen, unless somebody does something to change.

Have. Couldn't have happened any other way. Not of. You think it's of because people say "could've" and 've sounds like of but it's not, it should be have.

Sorry, that's a pet peeve of mine.

That's what I call "retrospective destiny".

I could press button A or button B. I press button A. Could I have pressed button B? Sure. That I didn't isn't destiny, it's history.

My problem with retrospective destiny is that it opposes the concept of free will, which renders it invalid.

Not at all

Nope,do not belive in destiny, nor do I belive in relationships, they all end up screwing you.

If your world doesn't allow you to dream, move to one where you can.
