Hello,
I'm looking for very simple player - without any controls, volume control etc written in other language than Flash. Is it possible to find something? Is it possible to find something working with AAC+ ? regards |

So, not flash ... I'd suggest VLC, but I think there's like 4 people in the world who installed the VLC browser plugin
98% of (mainstream) users have flash player installed - why not go with the numbers? by the way, no volume control is very rude, you have to let your audience chose a volume "If you don't like DNAS, write your own damn system" So I did |

hello,
thanks for you reply. I have very complicated situation: I have multi platform users which have only one common feaature: They have mobile browsers. Half of them haven't any flash addon and they cannot install it. I haven't flash on my mobile device - it is problematic for me else... ![]() Maybe any other player exists except VLC ? Any js player? |

.
What about this: Dont use a "embedded player" at all ! (as a Flash or Html5 player would be) instead provide a simple link to the stream and let the browser/device decide what to use. As far as i know all the main mobiles (iPhone,Andr,Nok,Sams) all come with built-in (stream-capable) mp3 players...(standalone). Normal pc´s can play that also ofcourse. So that would be your most universal...multiplatform way. Only thing i´m not shure of is ...what type of link to provide if anyone can say something about that ? (". pls" or "url.portnr" type of link?) ...best one type of link only that will work for all. . |

That was a reply...if its not appriciated...fine
but there was a question also: "Only thing i´m not shure of is ...what type of link to provide" i ment for mobiles so they will play the stream in their own default player. If no-one cares to answer i suppose some moderator can...or ? |

pls or m3u are the most commonly accepted playlist types to provide, though i'm not sure when it comes to mobile platforms though based on other people's comments things should still work ok with them.
