streamlicensing closing down

streamlicensing is closing down. I'd like to replace them with an equal $39 deal that covers my stream's 50 different directory listings. I don't really have any need to pay a directory like live365 to be listed. Just the licensing.

Where do I go?

Being a disabled individual I have a sponsor that's been helping me out and he didn't know about this any more than I did until I noticed my listeners were gone. I had actually routed my PLS files who's streamlicensing as I was advised to do and never thought that the company would go belly-up without warning.

I do know that royalty rates have gone up considerably so I'm hoping to get things straight as soon as possible.

I have reason to believe you can maintain your station and licensing arrangements as before. I've been put in touch with two companies which may have deals that mirror streamlicensing. As soon as details are confirmed, I will post information here.

Do we know how many stations were paying for licencing through Stream Licensing

I wonder just how many station owners have decided to pack it in as a result?

ASCAP sued Streamlicensing and is warning webcasters Live365 has NOT closed its deal with them, either. I wonder how the PROs will pick off 50,000+ webcasters out there one by one?

SHOUTcast Tech Support suggested PRONETLicensing. Their rates are 3X Streamlicensing's. Given that ASCAP is now trying to stomp all webcasters into extinction, I suggest you ask ASCAP if they have a firm signed deal with Pronet.
