I downloaded the skin then edited the png or whatever they are called. I did copy maki form that skin
I also edited some stuff in xml
I'm making my own, I just needed an example.

Actually, it is hard to make a skin. The way you try to make a skin is wrong. It is not a good idea to take another (modern)skin and just replacing the graphics.

I would suggest you quit this skin, and start over with a classic skin. For a classic skin all you have to do is replacing the graphics, no coding will be needed.
