will my (or why won't my) graphics card run milkdrop?

it is an Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 82915G/GV/910 circa 2004 - I searched so much of this website and the Intel one too, it seems as though it should run 3D graphics yet when I try to run milkdrop I am getting the "no valid 3d accelerated display adapter could be found on your computer" error. Sorry if this question seems old/redundant/dumb - I honestly tried to find the answer myself.

tried that - error when installing - I guess perhaps I'm not destined to run milk-drop - but THANKS very much for the constructive and prompt response.
