Gracenote question on album name/artist

I've burned quite a few cds recently with Winamp Pro 5.04 [and now 5.05]. Recently downloaded Nero to try it out. With Winamp, song titles automatically showed on the library window.

During Nero burning I write in the album and artist name. When I play the burned Nero cds on Winamp they show up as 'track 1', 'track 2', etc. Gracenote pops up and queries the net and then names the tracks. When played on my Pioneer Elite cd player the Nero cds show the title of the album and song title on the cd player LED while my Winamp burned cds don't show their titles.

Where have I gone wrong with the Winamp burning. Should I be writing album title/artist somewhere before burning so that I can have them show up on my cd player LED as well?
If so is there anyway to go back to the previously burned cds and apply album names/artist- probably not but thought I should ask anyway.

Thanks for any replies.

Winamp does not support CD Text reading or writing, which I assume is whar the Pioneer uses.

You hit the nail right on the head- I'd forgotten all about that. This Pioneer does use CD Text. Thanks.
