Winamp does not support 6.1 Surround sound :S ?

I have recently purchased a 6.1 surround sound system for my computer and have found out that only mplayer2 and windows media player are the only programs ive noticed that support 6.1. They both suck because they take FAR too long to add music to the library and the shuffle option its crap. To say the least they are both lame and i would much rather use winamp as ive been using it for such a long time now. Ive looked for plugins that support surround sound but none have worked for me. Anyone with any ideas please tell me. Cheers.
