Bravo Sierra

Good whiskeys need never be mixed. Note that Jones said decent alcohols. The alcohol that gets thrown into what you're calling mixed drinks, doesn't need to be decent of even average.

BTW, you have too-damn-much sig.

Given a choice, I'd rather take it neat any day, Jack&Coke is passable, but I'd still rather have it neat thankyouverymuch

For many of you, a little GHB might be worth checking into as well

The only non-beer drink I've liked was a Watermelon Bacardi Breezer.

And that was after 10 or so beers.

[Thread ripoff from Pabook]
(Actually this thread has been done at least once before here)

When I'm not drinking THE man's drink (beer) you can find me drinking Agent Orange or Jagerstar.

I don't drink mixed drinks or hard alcohol often, but I have a couple of drinks that I like. Mudslide with caramel or chocolate is very good. I also love strawberry daiquiris. (There's nothing wrong with liking fruity drinks, so bite me. ) I'm not a big fan of Coke mixes, though. To me, alcohol makes the Coke taste watered down and warm. I like my Coke too much to thin it out. Nothing wrong with Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, etc either. There was a shot drink that someone I love used to make for me when we were together... I miss that drink, but not nearly as much as her.

In a less lethal dose it is.

Vodka and orange Gatorade.

I have trouble picking a favorite, because my tastes vary by day, but when I get thirsty, I choose from these:

The fridge has all the juices, sodas and mixers to match.

Some interesting recent add-ins include the rice wine called Fu-Ki Sake (could be pronounced "fucky sucky" and the aged Fockink Gin from Holland.

If I had to choose today I would take the Tanqueray No. 10, put it in a shaker with ice, then take just a tiny splash of the Martini and Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth and put it into the martini glass with a toothpick-impaled Spanish Queen Olive. I would then gently strain the chilled gin into the martini glass, lightly stir with the olive/toothpick and sip.

In other words, today's choice would be a dry martini with the finest ingredients.

I'd just down that Speyburn stuff. Whisky is alright.

Or if I could be arsed I'd get a watermelon, mash it, add a shitload of sugar and bacardi.

One of the Speyburns is a canister with straws in it. The other has a bottle with about 33% left. I should be fair and also say there's only really one of the four Black Bush (step up from Bushmills Irish Whiskey) canister that actually has a bottle and whiskey in it - the others are used for storage of little toppers like mini-umbrellas, mini-swords, etc.

Wild Turkey is great, but did you notice the Wild Turkey Rare Breed? The bourbon makers make the whiskey slightly over-proof and then water it down to get the exact advertised proof. Rare Breed skips that step and gives you "Barrel Proof" which is slightly more pure and better.

Look for a "Webtender" web site - they ask what you have and give you all the drinks you can make, plus they give you all the recipes for any drink you put into their search engine. It's handy to have on your favorites if you like mixed drinks.

Don't forget to live before you die.

Reference from another thread brought this thread to my attention so here’s my 2¢.
I don’t drink very often anymore (I believe I have already had my lifetime share, I am now drinking someone else’s share) but my drink of choice is this:

Usually straight up but if its really hot on the rocks.
Or if I feel like a beer this:

Chilled just above freezing.
