coulden't find the auto start up
I used to use Winamp as a musical alarm clock using the auto play on start up setting on Winamp 3 and the Windows Scheduled Tasks. I have upgraded now and coulden't find the auto start up option anywhere.
I was wondering if I didn't see it or if there was a different way of having Winamp start up at a specific time and automatically play? Thanks. |

You can still use the Windows Task Scheduler to create a task that starts Winamp at the time you want (and another task to stop Winamp at the time you want, if needed). As you know, these tasks can be set to recur daily and it's easy to change the startup/shutdown time as needed.
As for controlling what Winamp does when it starts, you can use DrO's "Time Restore & Autoplay" plug-in (https://winampplugins.co.uk/timerestore.html). It provides the functionality other 'AutoPlay' plug-ins have and some things they don't. Windows 11 Home 64-bit v22H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |
