Currently, no. Not shortwave. It's all one big metaphor.
Back in the day of a forming FCC, before they had complete control over everything, we had many people running radio stations over HAM/Shortwave radio with no licence to do so, plus, there was much bullshit going on over the time. So! What did people do? Some went to Mexico and broadcasted over their equipment, reaching all sorts of people in the united states. It was an effective way to get around the FCC and the government. This is a breif explnation of the story, and that's what I feel the kids who fire up SHOUTcast are doing. They're on a Mexican radio. But, the 419G. It's big. It's badass. No, I don't broadcast over shortwave yet. I may, sometime when I get around to getting the equipment. The 419G is very, -very- expensive. No way in hell could I buy that, but, it's something I'd love to have. -419G |
