over 1000 replies (counting mine )

Back on topic.

Well what it does is it restores your playing positon in a song and it can make winamp strat playing automaticly

example: Let's say your in the middle of a song when your boss calls you away, to finally get some work done , by that time your 1 minute 45 into your song. So you close winamp and go to see what your boss wanted with you. Then when you come back you just reopen winamp and then it just starts playing at that 1 minute and 45 seconds, instead of the beginning, either automaticly or when you hit play (I think so atleast. always have it on automatic ).

But thats not the only thing it can do. A more complete list can be found on Dro's homepage.

It was only an example.
Obviously it has more complex uses. but this was just a simple one
Like you going away a few hours and need to shutdown your pc. or you need to restart winamp/pc for some reason.

In any case it has other options aswell. like starting to play a random file at startup and such

alright, that might explain the issue a bit..
So, perhaps the plugin somehow messes with how/when the scripts are detecting that a song has begun playing, and the current position in the song..
from this info, I also doubt the long timer has anything to do with it.

Still think it's entirely the plugins fault though, doubt there's anything I can do to fix it, in maki.

I wouldn't say around the corner..
The game has just been announced recently, so there may very well be years before we see a final product, _if_ we see a final product that is..
Just look at what happened with Perceptions game.
So I wouldn't break out the champagne just yet.

stargate skin

Been enjoying the skin. Great job guys. This skin is everything I was hoping it would be from watching this thread. My "stargate friends" (who don't use winamp)also think it is great. I believe in giving feedback on the programs I download which is why I am here posting this.

Hehe I like scare-ing(sp? scaring have no clue ) people it's so much fun (probably more then being in the sandbox )

Ok hope it won't be to long though now at least we have the stargate skin to keep us warm and fuzzy

And I hope that the devellopment won't take another 2 years though (even if I manage to get my hands on a beta ticket ).

Final note:

Keep up the great work

we haven't even started yet... once we start, it won't take 2 years like before.
As it currently stands, we're not even discussing stuff about the skin.
So it's a bit unfair to count the current time as development time, as it's not.
The SG-1 edition took 2 years of development for a number of reasons. That won't be repeated in the Atlantis version. But it may be some months before we actually start making it. But I don't think that counts.

And by the way, what do you mean with "just wait for the next skin version"?

That's because the skin is currently being re-reviewed because I added something I've been getting bugged for, should be back online in a day or two

you've probably picked the worst time to try to update the skin since the review system is fooked at the moment and i don't know about the other reviewers but none of the review downloads are there...

Oh, hey DrO and any other moderator's or people of importance
I tried searching for a stargate skin with no luck unless I went through everyone manually.
I've noticed that the search function itself for skins doesn't work.
I've tried searches using a full word to searches with one letter and it always comes up as :
"Sorry, your search returned no results."
What's up with that?

The pics of this Stargate Winamp look simply awesome

While it may be a bit (since it's already been submited for updating), would it be possible to add the time feature to the Stargate? Meaning, when you drag the circle around, it should display what time you're at in the D.C.S. Would that be do-able? Or, is there some other things that could be updated? Which reminds me. Occasionaly, when in play mode, I'll shut the iris. On the DCS screen, the iris closes, as it does on the Stargate. But occasionaly, when I reopen it, the Stargate opens, but the picture on the monitor doesn't. And it remains stuck like that until I switch to dial-mode, and close the iris, and then reopen it.

Obviously, that's nothing to big, but it is mildly annoying. So, I was just wondering what the chances are that the skin gets an update to fix these few problems that have cropped up.

Thanks again for the awesome skin. It's easily the Modern skin that get's the most use on my system. I usually stick to classic skins, since they fit the screen better. But this one is just to awesome to avoid using it. Mouser X over and out.

Mouser.

We can't update anything or alter the "edit" submitted untill it has been reviewed.

Far as that glitch with the DCS iris, I've only been able to replicate it a couple times, each time winamp crashs shortly after. i'm starting to think it's either a case of were just consuming too much.

depends.. if your running windows, then I would not be surprised if some commands are getting lost as the os tries to stream line things and ignores commands to prevent crashing.

but then.. I'm just the graphics guy.. harrash the coder if you want more features

I haven't tried to replicate this yet, but I believe you may be correct Fox. There are a few problems with this skin that are caused by it using too many resources, this may be one of them.. And if it is, I can't fix it.
For a better chance of me beeing able to fix it, make a step-by-step guide on how to replicate the bug. It has to be 100% reliable.. Occasional random bugs are close to impossible to track down.

Found something

I looked really hard. I mean at first I thought that it was just an optical thing, but I think I found something. When the iris is closed, I could swear that you can see the symbols on the actual leaves of the iris. I could be smoking something, but I am almost possitive.

Readme file for SG-1 skin.

Hello to all involved with this skin. I'm not a new user of Winamp but I am a new user of the SG-1 skin. Needless to say I love it! This is by far one of the best skins that has been designed for Winamp. imo

What I would like to know or figure out is what or how does one work with the DHD ? Or is this strictly for animation purposes. I read through a few of the replies to this post, and from what I can tell is that there are a few ways to use the DHD outside of the obvious controls for running Winamp.

At the download window for this skin it mentions a read me file that is available upon request, Does anyone here know who to contact in regards to the read me file? If so I would appreciate it for someone to post this info.

Again this is a awesome skin for Winamp. Keep up the fantastic work.
