Refresh Media Library

How is a manual refresh done of an online service or any other item in the media library?

You can't, currently.

It has been asked for before, and will be implemented in the next version:

How to Refresh your Media Library ML

I found a way to refresh the id3 info in the ML without first clearing the library. Highlight all the songs you want want to refresh and right-click Read Metadata on Selected Items. This will refresh the id3 tags in the ML without losing your play count data and ratings. You can do this for the entire library or just selected tracks. After that, just hit Clear Search and that will refresh the Genre, Artist, Album listings with the new info. That button acts almost like a Refresh button
