sc_trans random crashes

I'm running Shoutcast and SC Trans on Ubuntu on "2.6.17-10-server SMP" kernel. I started streaming yesterday and SC Trans seems to crash randomly. It has been up for around 10 hours and then crashed. Can it be caused by the songs it try to load? The log file doesn't give any helpful information. I have also read that enabling the logfile may cause it to crash as well?

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Depends. Lots of different things can happen. I would suggest not using a desktop manager or gui. Do it all from the terminal only. So you don't have processes going that run gnome or kde.

One thing to check is that there are no entries in your playlist file that don't exist as files. If the playlist comes across a file that doesn't exist it can cause problems sometimes.
