(thinking.. looking closer, the seeker-next-to-the-song seems like it woudn't be doable.. instead, a seeker ON the song would be perfect, something like (the bottom line is the seeker):
01. Artist - Song__________ 1:01 No one taps the currently playing song.. at most you do a long tap to see a menu.... yep.. seeker-on-the-song would be cool.. I should register it.. ![]() |

OH MY FREAKING GOD THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, WHERE IS IT CAN I HAS
This is just stunning!!! Not even doubleTwist looks this good! (so far, imho the best looking local library player on Android) And compared to the horrid Gingerbread look the current Winamp for Android has... Victhor youve done it again, what can i say here lol, Radionomy should just hire you or something already xD *To remove the currently dead Winamp online stuff, see here: removing online stuff *If you miss the Autotag feature: Gracenote CDDB Autotag alternatives |

I'm glad you like it, but I didn't do this, I'm just featuring it here, the author is André Grilo, he´s a brazilian designer, I posted the link to the original work (Behance) at top of the post.
I do this usually, there is a lot of good UI related stuff which Winamp users don't know. I'll be posting a lot more soon, there are plenty of good jobs out there (this one is the first I find facing the Winamp for Android UI). PS/EDIT: Where you DID HIT the spot is in that the purpouse of this is also to spark some discussion / enthusiasm and maybe get something to Radionomy's designers.. |

Ohhhh, i didnt notice that top part, my bad, gets towered by the pictured itself and not easy to notice once youre captivated by the pic
![]() Its really nice to see that people have high hopes for Winamp too and not just the forum regulars. You know, you could do a featured skin thing on the skins forum here ![]() The thing i really liked about iTunes (and to a degree WMP12) was that it was one interface, most people like that. In Winamp when i first ever tried it i couldnt stand it because it seemed Bento was the only SUI skin, and all the classic ones were just... archaic feeling to me. And oh god the modern skins that make nothing useable, i cant bear those u_u. Up until i discovered cPro skins id have never taken Winamp skinning seriously, but theres almost no way to discover them. Theres like a billion ways to discover classic and modern skins on DA and other Winamp dedicated sites, but for the useable attractive SUI ones theres like nowhere to ago aside from looking through the cPro submissions page lol. cPro skins (well more recent ones atleast), in particularly yours (i swear im not kissing up here lol) are really beautiful, itd be nice to be able to discover other beautiful skins, since, atleast imho, most Winamp skins are just blegh and eye gouge worthy. *To remove the currently dead Winamp online stuff, see here: removing online stuff *If you miss the Autotag feature: Gracenote CDDB Autotag alternatives |

I don't know if cPro skins aren't having proper promotion, it just happens that there isn't too many new skins nor skinners. CPro has seen a golden age when a lot of skinners & coders were actively participating in the specific forum, but that went down along the "fade" of Winamp skinning in general. Today looks like the current state of things is: A lot of users still like to use & download new skins but 99% of coders & skinners are gone to other apps or fields (I kind of track down a lot of them for Winampers). And for the record, since last year, looks like the imminent dead of Winamp sparked more fan-sites than previous years, promoting them is a good way to promote Winamp: Winampers // 1001 skins // Winamp FB Enthusiasts Group Plus all the "homage" sites born after the 11/13 (most present in the 2nd post of the News thread) Quote:
![]() Old skins were kind of a revolution in terms of UI, they sparked the flame of several of the styles you see in some skins today (realistic mp3 player look, "alien tech" style, semi-transparent, minimalistic, etc), but now they are all too old and that's why Winamp often looks like a "player from the last decade". PS: I know I said "spark" too many times, it just got stuck on my mind and EVERY TIME it seemed fitting hahaha.. |
