I have 10 Toes!

Well, actually, I should say I still have 10 toes thanks to Gus! Gus is my wonderful pair of steel toed boots that stopped a refridgerator from smashing my toes the other day at work. Thanks Gus!

I love my Mack steel toes...If it weren't for the plank feeling I have when I'm driving with them on, I'd probably make them my daily shoe more often...

They're big, comfortable, and tougher than a couple tons of concrete...My dad calls them my Frankenstein boots...

My friend has steel-toed boots, and this one time he let a one-ton pickup truck drive over his toes while he was wearing them.

I've got two pairs of Timberland Steel Toes. Really good boots, and both pairs were free.

Free ftw. I finally found a pic of Brahma Steel Toe Work Boots (Gus) at Ebay. But alas, the starting bids were for 99 cents.

I'm glad I don't need to wear steel-toed work boots anymore, 'cause that would mean I'd still be working at the foundry.

I have that exact same pair of boots. I haven't used them yet, though. I'm still wearing out my last pair of Georgia Boots steel toed boots right now.

When I worked at a sawmill during high school and early college, I stacked wood and helped guide logs off a forklift and onto rails leading to a huge saw.

Our required footwear was a pair of boots that had not only steel toes, but a steel shank (sole) and steel tongue that was actually over the laces. They were incredibly heavy and didn't breathe at all - like putting your feet into heavy ovens. After a couple weeks you don't really notice them though, till you take them off - tan lines at the top and the rest of your foot is bright white and wrinkled, as if you had taken a 10 hour bath.

Don't forget to live before you die.

They're really not too expensive - usually less than $50, although I'd suggest thick socks the first few days, as they're not comfortable and can cause friction blistering if you're not used to them.

Metatarsal boots. I had to wear those at another crummy job I use to have. I think the company I worked at kicked in $40 back then.
